Fathead pizza is a popular low-carb and keto-friendly pizza crust made with mozzarella cheese, almond flour, and egg. It’s a great alternative to traditional pizza crust, and it’s easy to make at home. Here’s a recipe for how to make fathead pizza:
Ingredients:
- 1 and 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 egg
- Your choice of pizza toppings (e.g. tomato sauce, cheese, vegetables, meat)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for 1 minute, or until the cheese is melted and can be stirred together.
- Stir in the almond flour and egg until the mixture forms a dough.
- Place the dough on a piece of parchment paper and use your hands to press it into a round or rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Transfer the parchment paper with the dough on it to a baking sheet.
- Bake the dough for 8-10 minutes, or until it is golden brown.
- Remove the crust from the oven and add your choice of pizza toppings. Be sure not to overload the crust with too many toppings, as it may become soggy.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
